United Way needs the help of 2-4 volunteers on Wednesday, November 15 from 1-4pm to sort and re-pack our Poverty Simulation kit.
The sorting will be done at the United Way office, which IS accessible by public transit. The building, however, is not wheelchair accessible.
The kit is made up of various laminated paper pieces that represent identification, money, cheques, personal possessions and more. After United Way runs a simulation, individual packets for 26 participant families and 20 volunteer stations must be sorted and re-packed in order to run the next simulation.
