Leaders of Tomorrow is an inspiring Gala that celebrates youth, ages 5-24, who have made contributions to our community through volunteer activity. Volunteer Lethbridge recognizes and celebrates the dedication, conduct, and good work of the exceptional youth volunteers whose example in our community is an inspiration.

The Excellence Award celebrates youth who have gone above and beyond to demonstrate leadership, initiate, character, dedication and inspiration of others. There are a maximum of eight(8) Excellent Awards to be awarded.

Excellence Selection Process

Upon nomination deadline, eligible excellence nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee. All Excellence recipients will be notified of their award status. There is a maximum of 8 Excellence Awards per year. Nominees who do not get selected to receive the Excellence award will be automatically awarded with a recognition award.

Leaders of Tomorrow celebrates its 23rd year of recognizing youth since its inception in 1997. In total, Volunteer Lethbridge's Leaders of Tomorrow Gala has recognized 2,169 young people. Last year, we celebrated 20,955 volunteer hours from just 135 youth!
