Position: Route Guides and Flaggers - Lethbridge Police Special Olympics Torch Run
Location: Along run route, address identified during volunteer placement

Description: Volunteers will guide participants through the run. Volunteers will be placed at designated intervals along the route path. Volunteers will cheer for participants and provide guiding comments as required (eg. "Run to corner, turn right, stay on path". Those volunteers at road intersections will be required to stop traffic or participants as required to ensure safety through intersections.
Training Details: Training will be provided. A volunteer orientation session will be scheduled for October 3 at 7:00 p.m.. Details will be shared with volunteers once they register to assist with the event.
Working Conditions: The event is outdoors, come prepared for the weather. Dress in layers so you are able to adapt to changing temperatures.
