Position: Face-Painters & Game Supervisors - 2019 Lethbridge Hurricanes Tailgate Party
Location: ENMAX Centre, Scenic Drive South, Tudor Estates, Lethbridge, AB, Canada
Impact Statement: United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta is one of nearly 100 United Ways across Canada, each serving its own local region. Each year, programs funded by United Way help thousands of people in Lethbridge and across South Western Alberta. United Way funding is targeted to programs which aim to reduce poverty; build networks of safe, caring and inclusive neighbourhoods; and support positive child and youth development. Donations to United Way’s Community Fund always stay local, and help people right here.
Description: - 2-3 Face-Painters - Will support the even through engaging with fans (primarily children/youth), painting faces/hands to cheer the Lethbridge Hurricanes in their first home game of the season. If desired, a set of simple designs can be determined for fans to choose from in order to maximize time. Supplies can be provided, or face-painters are welcome to use their own supplies for familiarity. Samples of previous work may be requested.

- 3-6 Game/Activity Supervisors - Will support the event by supervising simple games like mini-chuck-a-puck, or the poster-making station. Ensure that areas are kept tidy, supplies are organized, and any donations given in support of the event are secure.
Training Details: The tailgate party runs 4:00-7:00PM. Volunteers will all receive a brief orientation upon arrival.
Working Conditions: The Tailgate Party takes place on the outdoor patio at the Enmax Centre. Tables and chairs will be provided. Volunteers may wish to bring a hat and water bottle.

Volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the BBQ by Brown's Socialhouse before starting their shift.
