Steps to Volunteer Lethbridge Membership

Already a member? Access everything you need to manage your volunteer opportunities, promotions, and resources in one place.

Step 1

Start your membership journey by completing our application through BetterImpact. During this step, we’ll gather key details about your organization—including your logo, location, mission statement, and more. This information helps us build your profile on our Opportunities Website and ensures we understand your capacity to support volunteers, including whether you carry the necessary insurance.

Eligible applicants must be registered nonprofits or community groups based in Lethbridge or the surrounding region. When applying, you’ll have the option to pay the membership fee immediately or request an invoice for future payment.

Step 2

After submitting your application, our Membership Manager will connect with you to schedule a meeting and learn more about your nonprofit’s unique needs. Together, we’ll map out a promotional schedule aligned with your annual events, explore options for recognizing your volunteers, and identify training, workshop, or technology support your team may benefit from when using our services.

If needed, we’re happy to meet before your application is completed to support accessibility or answer any questions you may have. If you decide to move forward with membership, this is the point at which your membership fee must be paid before we can begin offering member services.

Step 3

Once your membership is confirmed, we’ll set up your organization’s profile on our Opportunities Website. You’re welcome to update your profile at any time or request edits from our team to ensure everything accurately reflects your nonprofit.

You’ll also gain access to our exclusive Member Portal, where you can submit volunteer opportunities, request advertising and promotional support, access member-only resources and discounts, and easily schedule future meetings with our Membership Manager.

As an added benefit, you can subscribe to The Nonprofit Builder newsletter—your key source for staying connected with all things Volunteer Lethbridge. The newsletter includes important updates about member services, changes to our systems, new resources, and opportunities for sector-wide collaboration. It’s also where we share information about upcoming funding opportunities, volunteer recognition and celebration events, and special campaigns like National Volunteer Week or Random Acts of Kindness. Staying subscribed ensures you never miss an opportunity to elevate your organization and the volunteers who power your mission.
