Our Community Partners
Alberta Non-Profit Network
The Alberta Nonprofit Network (ABNN) is an independent network of nonprofit organizations from across Alberta, all working together to create a strong and resilient nonprofit sector. The network collectively works to create a common vision for the sector, and articulates the sector’s value to a range of stakeholders including governments and funders.
Volunteer Lethbridge is both a founding organization and a Network Steward.

JustServe
JustServe is a service to help link community volunteer needs with volunteers and does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation in posting projects or in encouraging volunteers to serve.
Lethbridge Herald
The Lethbridge Herald has generously donated space for the Weekly Volunteer Column and Agency of the Week for years, featuring local nonprofit organizations and volunteer opportunities every Tuesday.
In recognition of their unwavering commitment, we proudly presented the Lethbridge Herald with a plaque recognizing their longtime support at our 2025 Annual General Meeting.

Our Donors, Grantors, and Funders
Enhanced Capacity Advancement Program (E-CAP) funding is provided by the Government of Alberta through the Alberta Lottery Fund in order to build the voluntary sector and enhance the quality of life for Albertans.
E-CAP funding has created the opportunity to further develop, advance and strengthen the work that has been accomplished through Volunteer Lethbridge to enhance volunteerism and grow volunteer capacity.
FCSS program provides financial support for the delivery of preventive social services. The City of Lethbridge participates in this joint municipal/provincial cost-sharing grant with the Government of Alberta, and must ensure that all expenditures made with these funds are eligible under the Family and Community Support Services Act and Regulations.
The City of Lethbridge FCSS focus is on investment in prevention, early intervention and community and development. Volunteerism promotes and enhances the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities in the City of Lethbridge.
National Volunteer Week 2026
Volunteer Lethbridge celebrated National Volunteer Week 2026 through a series of community-focused initiatives recognizing the impact of local volunteers. The week began with a Flag Raising Ceremony at City Hall, featuring remarks from Deputy Mayor Jenn Schmidt-Rempel on the importance of volunteerism.
In partnership with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, we launched the Seeds of Volunteerism Wall, symbolizing 46,900 volunteers and encouraging community members to “grow” volunteerism by taking seed packets. We also hosted a Volunteer Expo at Park Place Mall, connecting over a dozen nonprofit organizations with prospective volunteers, and supported nonprofits in recognizing their volunteers with appreciation treats from How Sweet.
We are grateful to Cavendish Farms, Volunteer Alberta, and Limited Edition Homes for their generous support in making these celebrations possible.
Community Priorities Fund, Grant Recipient: Spring 2025
We are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta for selecting Volunteer Lethbridge as a Spring 2025 Community Priorities Fund grant recipient. With their generous support of $10,000, we will be upgrading the computers in our office—enhancing our ability to serve volunteers, support our member organizations, and continue building a stronger, more connected community.
2026 Carwash Fundraiser
We are extremely grateful for the support from Gas King and Subaru for making a difference in volunteerism through their assistance with our 2nd Annual Charity Car Wash. Gas King’s support was crucial in providing Volunteer Lethbridge with access to their carwash facilities, and Subaru's matching donation allows for 100% of every single dollar raised to go back into the community. This support enhances our ability to continue serving volunteers, supporting our member organizations, and building a stronger community.
Thank you to everyone involved! We can't wait to see you next year!

Random Acts of Kindness 2026
During Random Acts of Kindness Week 2026, Volunteer Lethbridge was proud to share 45 Gifts of Kindness throughout our community in celebration of our 45th anniversary.
These thoughtfully curated bags were made possible through the generosity of local small businesses, whose contributions helped bring moments of joy and connection to others. We are equally grateful to our nonprofit member organizations, who helped distribute these gifts and ensured they reached individuals in meaningful and impactful ways.
Thank you to the businesses and nonprofits that worked together to remind us all that kindness is always within reach.
2026 Community Voice Fund
We also extend our sincere thanks to Vista Radio, 94.1 CJOC, and 98.1 The Ranch for their continued support of the nonprofit sector through the Community Voice Fund.
Earlier this year, Volunteer Lethbridge was grateful to access this program to share our message on the radio, helping raise awareness of our services and connect more community members to volunteer opportunities.
By providing free on-air advertising to local organizations, this initiative plays an important role in amplifying nonprofit voices and strengthening community impact across Lethbridge.
Thank you so much!

We extend our sincere thanks to Matt and the team at Brand Stamp Marketing for their generous support throughout 2025 and 2026. Thank you so much team!
