Education is about more than just classroom work.
That’s why we’ve partnered with the University of Lethbridge to create the UVolunteer Program. By working together, we hope to broaden students’ horizons, empowering them to change their own world, wherever their path takes them.
Where theory meets the real world
University training and teaching is only the first step along the path to a better understanding of the world. It’s when concepts and ideas are put into action that they become powerful and offer a chance at true change.
UVolunteer works to pair students with ideal volunteer opportunities around the city, supporting their unique passions, and helping them to gain real world experiences in the industry they’re studying.
Building up our students and our community
Volunteering comes with a host of benefits, but for students making their first foray into the job market, volunteering and tracking their hours through UVolunteer creates an added benefit. The experience students gain will set them above their competition when looking for a job, or pursuing further education.
This also further enriches the local community by increasing ties, volunteers and the skills of more people in the city.
